Position Title: Lead Education Justice Organizer Job Summary: P.S. 305 is searching for a dynamic, strategic, and highly organized individual to join us as our Lead Education Justice Organizer (LEJO). Duties and Responsibilities: Project Management: Work with the Executive Director to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of campaigns, workshops, and events to ensure they align with P.S. 305's mission and objectives. Relationship Building: Identify, recruit, and develop members, cultivating a strong, diverse network of parents and community partners to enhance P.S. 305's reach and impact. Community Outreach: Prepare communication toolssuch as emails, flyers, or other materials to disseminate important information and mobilize members to take collective action. Training and Development: Contribute to the development of popular education curricula and materials aimed at empowering members. Provide training and leadership development opportunities to members and other stakeholders to enhance their skills and knowledge of education policy and organizing. Data Management: Utilize technology, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, and digital tools, to streamline operations, track membership participation, manage data effectively, and enhance communication with members and participants. Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret data to assess the success and effectiveness of programs, and utilize this information to make data-driven decisions and improvements to organizing initiatives. Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and presentations showcasing the impact of initiatives and the achievements of the team. Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and protect operations by handling sensitive information with discretion. Planning and Support: Collaborate with leaders to plan and strategize the development of the organization. Provide ongoing support and mentorship to help leaders build and strengthen their leadership capacity. Evaluation and Reflection: Regularly assess the progress of leadership development and community organizing efforts. Stay informed about the political environment in which community issues exist. Engage in reflection to continuously improve strategies and outcomes. Network and Collaboration: Foster relationships with individuals and community organizations. Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years experience in grassroots community organizing or bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in project management or community organizing, preferably in the education or non-profit sector. Experience with popular education methods will also be considered.

Evaluation and Reflection: Regularly assess the progress of committee leadership. Stay informed about the political environment in which community issues exist. Data Management: Maintain the CRM database to track membership, participation, and progress towards organizational goals. Vision and Imagination: Encourage leaders to develop a long-term vision and imagination for what is possible through community organizing. Inspire leaders to work towards positive and sustainable change in their school communities.
