This comprehensive training will cover the fundamental skills of advocacy and organizing, helping leaders increase their impact. Learn about P.S. 305's model for organizing and advocacy, which is rooted in classic community organizing and based in research from the ABCD Institute, as well as the approaches of Marshall Ganz and PICO. This training will include: -Understanding power -Best practices for community engagement -Planning and executing issue campaigns -And more!

Join educators from across Miami-Dade to learn about the people and policies that govern schools, as well as how to impact them. This fellowship builds a bridge between the statehouse and the schoolhouse, elevating teacher voice in the way decisions are made. Through this fellowship, teachers will get a chance to identify the role they want to play in making systemic change in the Miami community. Sessions will focus on: -The meaning of advocacy -Community organizing skills -Issue research -Approaches to leading systems -Local political context The fellowship involves 10 sessions which will be held on Thursdays nights from 5-7 PM at CIC Miami ((1951 NW 7th Ave Suite 600, Miami, FL 33136).
