P.S. 305's Interactive Schools Map serves as a tool to help families navigate Miami's school system. Each school is rated on a point scale from 0-100. This value is determined by the Florida Department of Education's A-F grading system, which includes academic achievement, learning growth, acceleration courses, and high school graduation rates.
At P.S. 305, we are raising this bar by using a color scale, rather than the state's A-F grades. Only schools with 90 points or above get a our highest rating: Blue. Schools with less than 59 points are rated red schools. This is unlike the Florida Dept. of Education grading scale, which considers schools that receive 62% or greater to be A schools. See the key below to learn more about our color rating scale. To learn more about how A-F grades are calculated, check out our A-F one-pager.
